Radio Killed Music's New EDM Producer - Dulsae
Radio Killed Music is pleased to introduce new artist and EDM producer, Dulsae. Originally from Brooklyn, New York, Dulsae is skilled, multi-talented musician that plays both the piano and guitar. He started off his career as session guitarist that collaborated with numerous vocalists and bands. After working as session guitarist for multiple years, Dulsae decided to shift his focus and pursue a solo career in electronic music.Curious about his change of heart, we asked Dulsae why he shifted careers from being a session guitarist to an electronic producer.
“[Well], this is the first project where I’m actually the artist. That is really, why I started producing electronic music this year. I wanted something to call my own.”
Dulsae, driven by his passion to create new and original music, relishes the trials and tribulations that come with creating an original composition.
Dulsae's Influences and Music Tastes
Dulsae draws his inspiration from different artists including electronic producers, Galimatias and Tycho. For those not familiar with Galimatias, he is a young 23-year-old electronic producer from Denmark. Galimatias or Matias Saabye Koedt is known for creating chill-out music with an atmospheric and peaceful vibe. Dulsae’s other influence, Tycho or Scott Hansen is a talented electronic artist from San Francisco, California. Tycho is recognized for his downtempo and chill electronic music that incorporates warm guitar progressions and synthetic textures. We highly recommend checking out these two electronic producers. In addition to his artist influences, The U.S Top 40 is another major influence on Dulsae’s music. He is a big fan of the sample and arrangement choices in Justin Bieber’s, Drake’s, and DJ Snake’s latest tracks. When Dulsae is not creating music, he enjoys listening to a large spectrum of music including indie pop and jazz music.Dulsae’s Style and Remixes
Dulsae produces “melodic-driven tunes filled with warm pads, synths, and guitar." Unable to pinpoint Dulsae’s unique style, we asked Dulsae how he would classify his own music.“I guess my genre is melodic chill…if that is a thing.”
Well, it looks like Dulsae encounters the same problem as us. We will end the debate and simply categorize his music as ‘good.’
Dulsae's Remixes and Future
Currently, Dulsae’s prodigious remixes are gaining some traction in the EDM community. He has remixed multiple artists including Lucian, The Knocks, and most recently Lyon Hart. When creating his electronic remixes, Dulsae uses the song’s vocal sample and forms his own unique electronic accompaniment around the sample. By doing this, Dulsae’s remixes are always fresh, unique, and completely original.We can expect to hear a lot more music from Dulsae in the near future.
